As a Senior Lead Consultant in Allstate, I got an opportunity to switch technology to AWS and Azure Cloud where I and my team was responsible for developing and maintaining the Splunk environment via IaC
Key responsibilities included

• Developing Immutable infrastructure code for Splunk deployment in the cloud
• Deploying and maintaining Splunk Clusters in various AWS Accounts and Azure Subscriptions
• Equipping Splunk to input various logs from AWS/Azure cloud endpoints and store them for analysis and compliance
• Working closely with Splunk Support (Vendor) to keep the infrastructure up-to-date and efficient

Achievements:

- Setup Immutable Splunk Infrastructure
With the help of my team, we were able to set up automation in place for Splunk immutable infrastructure involving usages of Terraform, AWS AutoScalling Group, AWS Launch Template, Shell Scripting, Hashicorp Vault, Ansible and Splunk Smart Store in AWS S3

With the new Lead role in Allstate, my new aim was to convert Application deployments into Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment mode and hand control back to Application Developers for faster development.

• Collaborated with Developers and Build-team to standardize and automate the build and versioning system in Jenkins
• Implemented common, reusable Octopus Deployment steps in Octopus for IIS Hosted Applications
• Migrated Applications from a standard manual process to the CI-CD method using Jenkins and Octopus

• Transitioned application deployment knowledge and documented the same from various vendor teams of Allstate
• Implemented strong ITIL practices enabling standardization of work intake
• Created Automation tools for standardized deployments
• Merged workload from 20+ teams to 15-member in-house team
